Reader Sara Humphreys reminded us of the need to be close to God in our daily lives as a branch only produces grapes when attached to the grapevine. It was this closeness and Spirit within Philip that directed him to meet the Ethiopian eunuch and caused such a change in his life.

Easter Displays and Flowers
The Church was beautifully decorated for the Easter Services.
Rector Paul spoke to the children about a range of Easter time symbols such as eggs, rabbits, bonnets etc explaining that the thing that really matters is not an external symbol but Jesus’ spirit within us.
He did seem to enjoy demonstrating an Easter Bonnet.

Good Friday – Messy Church
The story of the hot cross bun
Children and adults decorated eggs, made biscuits and made a huge hot cross bun.
Curate Jackie then explained the meaning of the cross on the bun. She used the decorated lower half of the bun to remind us of the story of the first Good Friday and how the sadness of the tomb turned to joy on Easter day.
