Children @ Christ Church

We believe that you are never too young to encounter God and on Sundays and during our mid week activities, we aim to provide a place in which children can feel safe and happy as they learn and grow together. Whether you are a parent or carer, grandparent or childminder, we pray that you will find Christ Church to be a loving and supportive environment where you feel welcome and at ease.

Flames -on Sundays

FLAMES, our Sunday School, meets every Sunday during term time. We join the main congregation for the first part of the main service at 9.30 am and then leave for our own time together. We are currently following the Scripture Union Light programme which provides a range of Bible-based learning resources for children, with stories, games, craft, prayer and worship. We aim to make the teaching relevant (and fun!) and for each child to feel valued as we explore our faith together and as they develop their own personal relationship with Jesus.
The group is led by a small team of helpers, who are CRB cleared.

Time Together on Tuesday Mornings

‘Time Together on Tuesdays’ meets weekly during term time between 10am & 12 noon and welcomes babies and toddlers, together with their parents or carers. We seek to be a supportive community, to be a place to make friends, share the joys and struggles of bringing up children and to drink fresh coffee together! There are toys available for free play along with craft activities and, during the morning, we gather for songs, a Bible story and to celebrate birthdays. It is a great opportunity to build positive relationships amongst each other and with our children.

TnT on Tuesday Afternoons

TnT meets together weekly during term time between 3:15pm & 4:30pm. It is an after school club for primary school children (and their parents and carers!) and provides a place to have fun while exploring the Christian faith. We have a flexible start time to allow parents and carers to collect children from primary and pre-school. Refreshments are provided from 3.15 to 3.40 pm followed by a magazine style programme of activities which includes games, songs, Bible stories, craft, prayer and the famous TnT Challenge!

Christ Church Crusaders

Crusaders meets during term time on a Friday evening from 6-7:30pm. The evening is an action packed mix of games, Bible stories, teaching and additional activities for young people aged 5-11 years. Each term we look at a different theme, we are currently looking at people Jesus met. In a fun and explorative way the children are encouraged to think about their relationship with God and how we should try to live out our lives. Come along to find out more and join in with the fun.
